Just a friendly reminder from Bite and Booze that a Jedi drinks local. Sith Lords drink Jameson.
I know St. Patty's Day came and went a month ago, but I still thought these pictures were worth sharing. Also, as far as the Jameson goes... did you know that while Jameson is the #1 selling Irish Whiskey world wide, it isn't even close to the top selling Irish Whiskey IN Ireland? Jameson : Irish Whiskey :: Foster's : Australian Beer. Translation: it is all about marketing. Try Power's, John Sullivan, Tullamore Dew, Redbreast, Midleton Very Rare, or quite a few other types before ordering Jameson as your next shot of Irish Whiskey. I will say though that the Jameson Reserve 12 yr is pretty tasty. Stay tuned every Wednesday on Bite and Booze as I'll soon be ramping up a new series called "Whisk(e)y Wednesdays!"
Use some of that Jedi influence to get Tin Roof to put the Pale Ale out in the cans and my beer buying would be close to 100% local. I drink Pale Ale's and IPA's 95% of the time with Pale Ale the majority winner in my fridge.
ReplyDeleteI don't think they realize how well their Pale Ale stacks up against the Big Dogs. I have been harping at them since they put out cans for the Pale. I just read they are going to put out the Blonde now. It is a good beer but no where as tasty as that Pale Ale. I am sure business wise though they are going after the bazillion BMC drinkers here.
Yeah, Blonde is definitely next. Cans should be coming in this weekend, and the first canned batches should hit the shelves next week. I think they'll get to the Pale Ale soon. It is all growth, timing, and space. They only recently got enough fermentation space to keep up with demand... kinda. And they have to order cans in runs of 90,000, which means means a lot of warehouse space and a lot of canning for each beer. The Pale Ale will come in time though. I've seen a mock-up of what the can will look like!
